Tomatoes with Beans and Rice

This is a very flavorful Indian dish that is sure to please!

Because the mustard seeds will pop, you may want to have the lid to your pan close by so you can cover it.

Ingredients:
2 medium sized tomatoes
1/2 cup beans (any kind)
1 large onion finely diced
1/2 tsp mustard seeds
1 1/2 tbsp soaked chana dal
1-2 medium- sized red chillies
1 tsp cumin seeds
1 inch ginger grated
1 tsp garlic chopped
1/2 tsp sambhar masala
6-8 curry leaves
green chillies
4 cups cooked rice
1-1 1/2 tsp ghee
salt
pepper
cilantro for garnishing

Preparation:
Heat the ghee in a saucepan over a medium flame.
Put in the mustard seeds. As soon as the seeds start to pop, put in the red chillies,green chillies and diced onions.
Add the dry spices,turmeric powder,cumin seeds,garlic,ginger and soaked chana dal.
Put in the tomatoes,sambar masala,salt,pepper and mix well.
Add the rice and mix well.Add the beans and curry leaves.Remove from the heat.
Spread the rice in a shallow vessel.
