If you’re looking for the perfect accompaniment for our naan recipe, check out this great chutney, which blends savory, sweet and spicy flavors. It’s a very easy recipe, and this video is incredibly entertaining – it’s fun to watch even if you aren’t interested in cooking the dish!

1 1/2 tbsp. coriander seeds
1/2 cup fresh coriander leaves
1/2 cup fresh mint leaves
1 whole garlic, peeled and sliced
3-4 green chiles, chopped
2 tbsp. oil
1 tbsp. red chili powder
1/2 tsp sugar
1 chopped tomato

Preparation process

Put some coriander seeds in a blender and grind until it becomes a course powder.

Into the blender, mix the chopped green chillies, garlic, red chilli powder, mint and coriander leaves.

Add in the chopped tomato, sugar, a pinch of salt and a splash of water and blend.

Once blended, pour into a separate bowl and grind to a paste. Heat the oil in a pan, cook until it starts smoking, then turn off the heat.

Add the chutney in the hot oil and mix well. Serve with naan, roti or rice.
