This fried tofu recipe is one of the simplest tofu recipes I’ve ever seen, and one of the more flavorful. It’s spiced very simply, with salt, chili powder, green onion and garlic, and takes only minutes to make. I also like that the video doesn’t have narration, so you can focus on the tofu as it cooks and see how it should look during every step.
1 tbsp vegetable oil
1 lb hard tofu, chopped into cubes
1 green onion
2 cloves of chopped garlic
1/4- tsp peppercorn
2 tbsp chili powder
1 tbsp esame seeds
Mix the oil and red peppercorn to a frying pan and cook under medium heat until the pepper blackens
Add in the tofu and salt to taste
Sprinkle in the chili powder and toss the tofu until it’s completely covered with the chili powder and salt
Add the garlic and green union and mix.
Once mixed, add the sesame seeds. Serve with rice or noodles.
